Yaroslav Platonov, aged 24, was captured by the Russian military on March 20, 2022, while working at the EcoSpace hotel in the village of Tolokun, Vyshhorod district, Kyiv region.

The Russian invaders entered the hotel and forcibly seized Yaroslav, along with two other hotel employees. They were blindfolded and taken away in an undisclosed direction.

Currently, the Red Cross has confirmed that Yaroslav Platonov is likely held in a penitentiary institution in Russia.
