Civilian person, engineer at a nuclear power plant
Enerhodar, Zaporizhia region

“Russian media claimed he was deported to Ukraine, but he was sent to labor slavery instead.”

Oleksii Brazhnyk, an engineer at the nuclear power plant in Enerhodar, worked in the physical protection service until September 21, 2022, when Russian forces refused to let him leave his workplace.

He was allowed to send a note to his family once a week, but then he was taken to the Enerhodar pre-trial detention center for unknown reasons, and all contact with him was lost. Later, Russian media released a video claiming that he had been deported to Ukraine, but in reality, Oleksii was sent to Vasylivka for labor slavery, performing hard physical labor for Russian soldiers. Eyewitnesses confirm this.
