Andriy
Varvarov

Civilian person , DJ
Berdiansk, Zaporizhia region

In March 2022, Andriy Varvarov was driving through the Zaporizhia region, attempting to rescue friends from the Russian occupation. He was stopped by Russian troops, and all contact with him was lost.

Despite his family’s efforts, including reaching out to the International Red Cross and the United Nations, his whereabouts remain unknown. The only message they received was a letter from Andriy himself, stating that he is imprisoned in Russia with no charges against him.

Fellow Ukrainians, recently freed from captivity, reported that Andriy has been tortured and beaten. His family, desperate for answers, continues to hope for his return.
